Se que llevo mucha ausencia acumulada, pero espero que estéis bien preparados para la última entrada del año de mi blog. Después de este Game & Nails estará cerrado un par de días por algunas reformillas que quiero hacer :). Pero no os entretengo más y os voy a enseñar el nail art que mi chico y yo hemos preparado para este juego que recientemente acabamos: Super Meat Boy.

I know I've been a little bit absent this days, I hope you're ready for the last blog post of this year on my blog anyways. After this Game & Nails I'm gonna close the blog a few days due to some modifications I'm gonna do :). You will know when it's finished, now I'm going to show you the nail art that my boyfriend and I prepared for this game that we just finished: Super Meat Boy.
Super Meat Boy es la secuela de Meat Boy, un juego indie (Se llama videojuego independiente aquel que ha sido creado por un número pequeño de personas y que no cuenta con apoyo financiero de una distribuidora) para navegador programado en flash. Cuando el Team Meat creó este videojuego en el 2008 no se imaginaba el éxito que lograría. Dos años más tarde con la ayuda de Microsoft Studios se lanzó para PC y Xbox 360. Este videojuego es conocido por su simpleza y su sentido del humor pero sobretodo por su elevado nivel de dificultad, os podemos asegurar que no es apto para gente sin paciencia, haha.

Super Meat Boy is the sequel of Meat Boy, an indie video game (We call indie videogame those who are created by a small group of people and without the backing from a publisher) made in flash for web browsers. When Team Meat developed this game in 2008 they didn’t know that it would become so successful. Two years later with the help of Microsoft Studios, Super Meat Boy was published for PC and Xbox 360. This game is well known for its simplicity and sense of humor aswell as its high level of difficulty, believe us when we say that it is not appropriate for people who don’t have any patience, lol.
Como bien dice el título el protagonista es Meat boy, un trozo de carne tan adorable como valiente. Meat boy ama a Bandage Girl. Bandage Girl también ama a Meat Boy. Por otro lado tenemos a Dr. Fetus, nadie quiere a Dr. Fetus y por ello te odia, pero sobre todas las cosas odia a Meat Boy. Por esa razón secuestra al amor de su vida y Meat Boy deberá salir a su rescate por seis niveles, cada uno más desafiante que el anterior.

As the title says the main protagonist is Meat Boy, an adorable and brave peace of meat. Meat Boy loves Bandage Girl. Bandage girl also loves Meat Boy. Last but not least we have Dr. Fetus. Nobody likes Dr.Fetus that’s why Dr. Fetus hates you, but over all things he hates Meat Boy. For that reason he kidnaps the love of his life and Meat Boy would have to rescue her over six worlds, each one more challenging than the last.
Super Meat Boy es un videojuego plataformas. Los controles son muy sencillos: Meat Boy puede correr y saltar. Pero su mayor habilidad es que puede deslizarse por las paredes, lo cual le será muy útil para superar todas las fases que nos prepara Dr. Fetus. Super Meat Boy cuenta con muchos guiños a videojuegos famosos, además durante la aventura podrás desbloquear diferentes personajes indies como Capitain Viridian (VVVVVV), Josef (Machinarium), Steve (Minecraft), Commander Video (Bit.Trip) entre otros.

Super Meat Boy is platformer video game. It has very basic controls: Meat Boy can run and jump. His most useful ability is the way he slides on walls, it will be very useful to complete succesfully each level. The game has lots of references to other famous video games, during the game you can also unlock different indie video game characters like Capitain Viridion (VVVVVV), Josef (Machinarium), Steve (Minecraft), Commander Video (Bit.Trip) and much more.
Para este nail art decidí empezar con un lienzo en blanco, para ello usé uno de los mejores esmaltes blancos que he probado, el Milk de RARE Nails, tiene una fórmula bastante líquida pero super cubriente que consigue en dos capas un color perfecto. Encima de ello dibujé con pintura acrílica uno de los mapas del mundo final del videojuego, dónde dominan los grises y cómo no las decenas de cuchillas que matarán a nuestro amigo Meat Boy. Pero no os preocupéis, que el siempre vuelve a la vida ;). Le dí un toque sangriento al paisaje y finalmente dibujé a nuestro protagonista bien sonriente (y apalizado el pobre), dispuesto a enfrentarse con el nivel una vez más haha.
Me ha encantado hacer este nail art, el resultado final me parece muy gracioso y representa bastante bien el videojuego. ¿Alguna de vosotras lo conoce o lo ha jugado? Si os ha picado la curiosidad os animo a jugar y me decís hasta que nivel llegáis sin perder los nervios... Yo creo que no me pasaría el primer mundo haha. Decidme que os ha parecido el nail art y qué videojuegos os gustarían para las próximas entregas. ¡Espero que acabéis el año con mucha energía y lo empecéis totalmente renovados!

For this nail art I decided to start with a white canvas, for that I used one of the best white nail polishes I've ever tried: Milk from RARE Nails. It has a quite thin formula but it has a lot of coverage and with two coats you'll get a perfect colour. On top of it I've drawn with acrylic paints one of the maps from the final world of the videogame. In this world called The End grey shades predominate and of course it also has hundreds of blades that will end the life of Meat Boy. But don't worry, he always comes back to life ;). I gave the background some bloody touches and finally I've drawn our little hero with a big smile (and lots of scars), willing to face the level once more, lol.
I loved doing this nail art, it turned out pretty funny and it represents very well the videogame. Did you ever heard of this game or played it? If you want to know more and decide to play it tell me which level do you reach without losing your nerves... I think I couldn't pass from the first world lol.
